FROM PARENTS WHO HAVE RECEIVED A MEMORY BOX
" We found ourselves thrown into a very fast down hill spiral of "Being so unprepared". Nothing We had bought in the shops would fit our Precious child. Receiving The Memory Box, reading those soothing soft words of complete understanding, offering support was the saviour to our soul.
We had been generously given gentle words of love from other bereaved Mothers. My husband and I did not know we were having a baby girl. Receiving & Seeing the colour Pink was bitter/sweet and beautiful.
I was now a Mother who could dress my Child, and we could have photographs with our Baby & the teddy we had received. This has allowed us to have wonderful photographs of our Daughter, such a treasure and forever a special memory. Although at that stage we had never met, I knew we would, still we find it hard to find the right words.. how could We ever thank such kind people enough!."
Teresa & Tim Braybon- Marina's Parents- Born Still at 31 weeks....
"Hi, I lost my first baby Jackson on 21st feb 2011 at 24weeks pregnant.
He lived for 5mins and It was the hardest thing me and my partner will ever
have to go through. I wanted to say thank you for the keepsake box we received off you it's a great thing you are doing and we appreciate it alot."
MEETINGS
Mums Like Me, meet the 2nd Monday of every Month, at various locations around Australia! Meetings are designed for those that have experienced Stillbirth, Neonatal Loss or very late miscarriage ie 19 weeks and beyond.
While we acknowledge that every loss is a significant one, and we would love to offer something to mothers before this time, we simply could not keep up the high standard of our boxes, due to the frequency of miscarriage now unfortunately being 1 in 4 pregnancies.
It is hoped that in the future we will be able to offer something for those who experience miscarriage.
Please see our Meetings page for locations near you or detials of hopw to have one operating in your area. MEETINGS
